Enjoyment of learning

Falmouth School offers a wide range of activities, both in the curriculum and in addition to it. Day-to-day lessons are enhanced by additional challenge-based learning activities that happen regularly throughout the year.

All year groups experience enterprise events which are supported by a range of experts including representatives from local businesses and organisations as well as nationally recognised authors, artists and subject specialists.

There are numerous study trips both locally and abroad and projects which regularly bring students into the wider community. There are after-school clubs running every day, a full sports calendar, numerous musical groups, choirs, drama productions, homework support club, ICT clubs and study workshops.

 

At Falmouth School we are committed to providing opportunities to develop healthy lifestyles. Many of our students participate in both the ‘Junior’ and the ‘Community Sports Leadership Awards’.

Sports teams are very popular with regular fixtures against other local schools and we regularly enter county championships. Students also benefit from professional coaches who run sessions in the school. Sporting opportunities are available at break and lunch time and after school in a wide range of clubs.

Many other opportunities are available to students after school and during holidays such as residential courses, skate boarding, hip-hop and street dancing.
